Hands-on Workshops
Workshop Description: Liturgical workshops provide an opportunity to bring children together to learn about church liturgy that occur throughout the church calendar year starting with Advent and ending with All Saints.. There are ten workshops to choose from listed below in chronological order as they appear in the church year. All workshops are taught and instructed by Wendy. Workshops can be held at churches, parks, or family’s backyard. It’s recommended that workshops be done the weekend before the date of celebrated liturgy listed below. It is highly recommend the workshops be done outside for safety precautions during COVID-19 so keep in mind outdoor temperature when booking workshop. Each workshop is ninety minutes to two hours in length from start to finish depending on which liturgical workshop selected. The recommended age for participants is four to ten years of age, T-K to 5th grade.
What’s Included in Workshop: a lesson on the liturgical event, and craft kit per each participant that will be made at the workshop after the lesson.
What the Host Provides: space to gather kids for a brief lesson sitting on the ground, on a blanket or chairs, and tables and chairs for craft and a nut free snack. Wendy can make recommendations for snacks depending on the workshop selected.
Pricing: Contact Wendy@Liturgykids.com for workshop estimate and date availability. The workshop teaching and instruction is a flat fee plus the cost of craft supplies per each child participating. If workshop is further than two hours from Charlotte a travel stipend will be added depending on distance required to travel.
